Growing up without a father, Andra Farizki Ramdhani has not let his circumstances hold him back. Raised by his single mother, who works hard to provide for the family, this 10th-grade student at People’s High School (SRMA 10) in South Jakarta has found renewed hope through the People’s School initiative established by President Prabowo Subianto.

Despite facing financial challenges, Andra expressed gratitude for the opportunities that the People’s School has provided for him to receive a quality education. The boarding school experience has been a mix of adjustment and reward for Andra, who misses his family but enjoys the vibrant atmosphere and camaraderie among his peers.

Andra’s daily routine at SRMA 10 is structured and disciplined, starting with early mornings, prayers, exercise, and classes, with regular check-ins with his mother in the evenings. Despite the monotony, he finds solace in the friendships he has formed with his roommates, Fatir and Reza, turning everyday moments into cherished memories.

The facilities at SRMA 10 have exceeded Andra’s expectations, offering a conducive learning environment that keeps him engaged and focused. He participates in various extracurricular activities such as flag-raising ceremonies, the youth Red Cross, and judo, with a special fondness for informatics.

Despite the absence of his father, Andra remains determined to pursue his ambitions, aspiring to become a judo athlete and continue his education at the Defense University (Unhan), honoring his mother’s wishes and showing gratitude for her unwavering support.

For Andra, the People’s School represents a beacon of hope for underprivileged children like himself, offering equal opportunities for education without additional financial burdens. From the classroom to extracurricular activities, Andra believes that with perseverance and his mother’s prayers, his dreams are now within reach.
