Foundation Marks 40th Anniversary with Symphony Concert Featuring Dwiki Dharmawan and Students
The Al-Muhajirien Waqaf Foundation in Bekasi recently celebrated its 40th anniversary with a symphony concert featuring the renowned musician Dwiki Dharmawan, along with over 200 students from Al Azhar Jakapermai, Kemang Pratama, and Grand Wisata. The event, which took place on August 9, 2025, marked a significant milestone for the foundation since its establishment on August 9, 1985.
During the celebration, H. M. Muhammad Syafiudin BComm ST, Chair of the Al-Muhajirien Waqaf Foundation, expressed his pride in the foundation’s journey over the past four decades. He emphasized the foundation’s commitment to advancement and development, aiming to bring about positive change for the community through education and service.
Syafiudin highlighted that the foundation’s longevity is attributed to a collective effort towards transformation, aligning long-term goals with the evolving needs of society. He emphasized that every initiative undertaken by the foundation is dedicated to the common good, built on a foundation of trust and community support.
Looking ahead, the foundation is focused on maintaining its mission of providing Islamic-based education through ten Al Azhar schools and one Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, incorporating digital learning approaches and international standards. The foundation’s vision extends beyond institutional growth, emphasizing the importance of adapting to changing times and evolving educational needs.
Musician Dwiki Dharmawan, who collaborated with students of various age levels during the concert, commended the exceptional talents nurtured by the Al-Muhajirien Waqaf Foundation schools. Despite the challenge of uniting diverse talents for a cohesive performance, Dwiki praised the students’ abilities and the schools’ success in fostering holistic development.
