During a Plenary Cabinet Session at the State Palace, he highlighted the success of the current government reserves, which are the largest in Indonesia’s history. Prabowo acknowledged the contributions of all ministries and government agencies involved in securing the nation’s food supply, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and teamwork in achieving this milestone.
He credited the swift measures taken by the government, especially during the transition period from the previous administration, for the current stable and secure food production. Prabowo emphasized the strategic significance of food production in maintaining national sovereignty. He firmly believes that a nation cannot be truly independent if it relies on external sources for its food supply, making food production a critical aspect of national security.
The President highlighted the importance of food self-sufficiency for any sovereign country, stating that history has shown the necessity of being able to feed one’s population. He concluded by affirming that food production is of strategic importance and essential for the existence of a sovereign nation.
