The Free Health Check in Schools (CKG) program in Indonesia is set to benefit around 53 million students nationwide, covering all types of educational institutions including public, private, and religious schools overseen by the Ministry of Religious Affairs. This initiative, part of President Prabowo’s vision for a Golden Generation by 2045, aims to provide free health checks to every student in the country, recognizing them as essential national assets.
President Prabowo’s strategic policies and priority programs also include initiatives such as Free Nutritious Meals, Capacity Expansion of Public Hospitals, Garuda Schools, Digital Learning Initiatives, and various scholarship programs. Additionally, government regulations have been enacted to support child protection and provide special allowances for medical specialists in remote areas.
Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar highlighted the importance of including religious-based education units in the CKG program, emphasizing the Ministry’s commitment to inclusive and interfaith service delivery. With over 12.5 million students under its supervision, the Ministry ensures that religious schools are fully supportive of the initiative by providing necessary equipment and encouraging active involvement from teachers and staff.
The Minister also instructed regional and district heads to closely monitor the program’s implementation, warning that schools failing to participate will face consequences. This comprehensive approach aims to advance the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision by cultivating a generation that is healthy, intelligent, and globally competitive.
