President Prabowo Subianto recently visited former President Joko Widodo at his residence in Solo to discuss updates from his recent state visits to various countries, such as Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Belgium, and France. During the visit, Prabowo mentioned the progress made during his international tour, particularly the breakthrough achieved with the European Union after 10 years of negotiations on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).
Accompanied by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Prabowo arrived at Jokowi’s residence in Solo and was warmly welcomed by Jokowi and First Lady Iriana. The meeting was described as friendly and relaxed, covering current issues and highlights from Prabowo’s 15-day diplomatic tour.
Prabowo expressed gratitude for the positive outcomes of his diplomatic visits, mentioning his visit to Belarus, where potential economic partnerships were discussed. He emphasized Indonesia’s strong international standing, commitment to neutrality, and peaceful cooperation with various countries.
During the meeting with Jokowi, Prabowo was accompanied by State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, Foreign Minister Sugiono, and Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Angga Raka Prabowo. Indonesia’s stance as a non-aligned country, its economic relations with various nations, and its application to join the OECD were also discussed during the meeting. Prabowo highlighted Indonesia’s reputation for respecting all countries and seeking friendship with all nations, without interfering in their domestic affairs.
