Jakarta – The Ikhwanul Muballighin organization officially shifted its political support from the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number three, Ganjar-Mahfud, to number two, Prabowo-Gibran.
“From the results of the Ikhwanul Muballighin National Meeting, a quick decision was made to fully support the presidential and vice presidential pair number two, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka,” said the Chairman of the DPP Ikhwanul Muballighin KH Anwar Fadholi in a written statement in Jakarta on Thursday.
The decision also includes the withdrawal of support for the presidential and vice presidential pair number three, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD in the 2024 elections, and the dissolution of the Ikhwanul Muballighin movement which initially supported Ganjar-Mahfud.
Anwar Fadholi instructed the regional management of Ikhwanul Muballighin at the provincial level and branch officials in the district/city, along with all stakeholders and the organization’s extended family in Indonesia, to unite in winning the presidential pair Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
“We want there to be continuity, and we have felt the results. We used to support Mr. Jokowi-Ma’ruf Amin. We still follow Mr. Jokowi, and now he is in the camp of Prabowo-Gibran,” said Anwar Fadholi.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of Pandawa Lima, Eko Wiratmoko, expressed his gratitude for the joining of Ikhwanul Muballighin with Pandawa Lima. According to him, this will increase the spirit to win the presidential and vice presidential pair number two.
“This will certainly increase the fighting spirit to win the presidential and vice presidential pair number 2. This will add strength and certainly increase the chances of Prabowo-Gibran winning in one round,” said Eko Wiratmoko.
The importance of unity in supporting Prabowo-Gibran was also conveyed by the Secretary General of Pandawa Lima, Ryano Panjaitan. This organization, along with Ikhwanul Muballighin, will conduct socialization, including joint prayer activities for the success of the pair.
“A struggle without prayer is called arrogance, and I believe that together with Ikhwanul Muballighin, Prabowo-Gibran will win in one round,” added Ryano Panjaitan.
With the joining of Ikhwanul Muballighin, Prabowo-Gibran is increasingly solidifying its support in facing the 2024 elections and garnering more support from various elements of society. (SENOPATI)
