Jakarta – Medco Energi has obtained approval from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) for the new amendment of the Corridor Block Production Sharing Contract (PSC).
The Corridor Block PSC will return to Cost Recovery PSC with better requirements to ensure the economic development of several new developments and maintain further exploration in the block.
Medco E&P President Director Ronald Gunawan stated that this agreement is a significant step forward in ensuring the stable and sustainable future of the Corridor Block.
“So as to provide great benefits for the nation, MedcoEnergi, partners, and all stakeholders,” said Ronald in an official statement on Thursday, December 14, 2023.
The allocation and price of gas for three gas buyers have also been approved, including for PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN). The Gas Sales and Purchase Agreement will be signed soon.
The daily gas delivery total based on the contract from the block currently reaches 700 bbtud, with 83 percent sold to domestic buyers and 17 percent exported to Singapore.
